I am a Worship Pastor at Allison Park Church in Pittsburgh, PA. You may or may not be a worship leader. Even though I gear my writings towards that audience, I write plenty of content on worship, leadership, songwriting, music, creativity, and social media.

I had heard that you were leading worship at AP and was very excited. I’ve been wondering how you have been doing and thought about dropping you a line…but someone from South Hills sent me a link in one of our bridge emails that led me to your blog… so I figured a quick hi was in order.
Jen and I and our 3 children have been attending SHAG since we moved 5 years back and I have been somewhat involved with worship there by playing guitar for youth services during the week and children’s services on Sundays. Recently I came to be involved with the Bridge, so we’ll see how that goes for the upcoming year.
I’m glad to hear that you’re doing well and are in God’s graces – blessing Allison Park with your talents and passion… and I hope we can catch up on things sometime.

You are “lucky” to be able to write Christian music. I wish I could. I write Christian poetry and Christian parodies of popular secular songs, and you are welcome to visit http://valleysong.wordpress.com to take a look. For me it’s a mater of regret that I’ll never hear them sung the way I’d like to. Of course one’s personal feelings and expreience of Grace colour one’s writing and it often does not mean for others what it means for oneself. Generally my poems are meant to encourage those who dwell in the valley of the shadow (of depression/tough times/ pain/ etc.)
David’s Psalm are often an incredible inspiration. There is a sense in which we should all be writing songs and poems to express our worship of our God of Grace and Love.
