Still, others of you want to be epic songwriters, but aren’t doing anything about it.

If you’re a worship leader, theology is important. Massively important.
Especially if you want to write worship songs. Without a steady diet of immersion in God’s Word, our songs will easily degrade into self centered memoirs to our own passion.

If you stop developing, you stop being effective.
In preparation for a live recording we’re doing in May, I’ve been songwriting like crazy.
The more I write and study great songwriters, the more I’m convinced it is slave labor.
